A work of Raoul de Keyser, purchased in 1988, has been the starting point of the Haubrok collection. During the following years we put our emphasis on collecting more paintings. However, at the beginning of the new millenium the works of Günter Förg, which included photographies and sculptures, gradually led us to embracing conceptual arts - now the focal point of the Haubrok collection.

Today our collection includes more than 500 works. Among others, Jonathan Monk, Christopher Williams, Heimo Zobernig, Peter Piller, Martin Boyce, Carol Bové and Wade Guyton can be considered as some of the most important artists featured in the haubrokshows. In 2008 we transferred ten of our most important works - the heart of the Haubrok collection - into a charitable foundation. It now includes Gregor Schneider's "Das Schlafzimmer", the "Brancusi Raum" by Tobias Rehberger, "This is Propaganda" by Tino Sehgal and Andreas Slominski's "Hundemassenfang"

In 2002 the collection went on public display for the very first time during an exhibition with the title "no return" in Mönchengladbach's Museum Abteiberg. In 2007 selected political works of the collection became part of an exhibition in Düsseldorf's Museum KunstPalast in the context of the project "Die Kunst zum Sammeln".

Since 2005 we host regular exhibtions of various works of the Haubrok collection in Berlin. Initially those took place in our appartment in the Xanthener Straße, but in the spring of 2007 we moved to a showroom at the Strausberger Platz 19. At this venue we organise up to four exhibtions annually. Every Saturday our showroom is open to the public.

Eine Arbeit von Raoul de Keyser, die ich im Jahr 1988 erworben habe, bildet den Ausgangspunkt der Sammlung Haubrok. Auch in den nächsten folgenden Jahren lag der Schwerpunkt der Sammeltätigkeit auf der Malerei. Über Arbeiten von Günter Förg, die dann auch Fotografie und Skulptur umfassten führte der Weg zu Beginn dieses Jahrtausends zur Konzeptkunst, die heute den Schwerpunkt der Sammlung bildet.

Im Jahr 2008 umfasst die Sammlung deutlich mehr als 500 Arbeiten. Wichtige Künstler sind heute unter anderem Jonathan Monk, Christopher Williams, Heimo Zobernig, Peter Piller, Martin Boyce, Carol Bové und Wade Guyton. Die zehn wichtigsten Arbeiten, die den Kern der Sammlung bilden, sind im Jahre 2008 in eine Stiftung überführt worden, hierzu gehören beispielsweise „Das Schlafzimmer" aus dem Haus Ur von Gregor Schneider, der „Brancusi Raum" von Tobias Rehberger, „This is Propaganda" von Tino Sehgal, sowie der „Hundemassenfang" von Andreas Slominski.

Die Sammlung wurde erstmalig im Jahr 2002 im Abteiberg Museum Mönchengladbach unter dem Titel „no return" gezeigt (Katalog). Im Rahmen des Projektes „Die Kunst zu Sammeln" wurden im Museum KunstPalast in Düsseldorf im Jahr 2007 politische Arbeiten aus der Sammlung gezeigt.

Seit 2005 veranstalten wir regelmäßig Ausstellungen mit Arbeiten aus der Sammlung in Berlin, zuerst in der Wohnung in der Xantener Straße, seit Frühjahr 2007 in unserem Showroom am Strausberger Platz 19. Dort werden drei bis vier Ausstellungen in jedem Jahr durchgeführt, die jeweils am Samstag zu besichtigen sind.
